Today, Lambda Legal announced it has named Gillian Power as the organization’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Gillian’s rich depth of experience and ability to adapt quickly to technological change will be critical to the success of our organization,” said Kevin Jennings, Lambda Legal CEO. “I’m excited to work with her to establish a technology roadmap and strategy for the organization that will advance and support its mission and goals.”

I’m passionate about creating solutions that support efficiency and empower teams to be successful. I am excited to create and execute best practice solutions and to spearhead strategies to accelerate the digital transformation of Lambda Legal’s mission and objectives.”
Before joining Lambda Legal, Gillian served for over a decade as the CIO of an AM Law 200 firm. She has over 20 years of legal technology experience at four firms, from a global firm to two regional and a national firm. Before her career in legal technology, Gillian was a physician in the complementary health field in South Africa, where she was born and grew up.
Gillian is an active member in the legal technology community, having served for five years as a committee member, including two as a thought leader, for the annual International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) conference. She was a recipient of an ILTA Distinguished Peer Award in 2011 for the area of server/operations and was a shortlist nominee for the ILTA Distinguished Peer Award for IT Professional of the Year award in 2013. She was also the ILTA Distinguished Peer Award for Leadership award recipient in 2014 and ILTA Contributor of the Year in 2020. She helped to chair and establish the ILTA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force in 2019.
Gillian is an active advocate and public speaker for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and for LGBTQ+ rights and equality.
In her spare time, Gillian enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her wife in growing a sustainable farm-to-market business.
Lambda Legal selected Gillian after a national search by the executive recruiting firm Cooper Coleman. Her first day was August 1, 2022.
