Marco Chan (he/him) is the Chief of Planning and Program Management at Lambda Legal. As an executive team member, Marco focuses on developing and implementing the five-year strategic plan that drives priorities in each program and department.

Marco has worked with cabinet-level officials, Fortune 500 executives, and nonprofit leaders in the U.S. and Canada to turn visions into strategies and concrete results. Prior to Lambda Legal, Marco advised Canada’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry on the response to COVID’s economic impacts and building Canadian industry for a new economy, including the design and investments of a multi-billion-dollar industry decarbonization fund. Other previous roles include advising mining and retail clients at Bain as well as leading on international LGBTI rights for the Canadian Prime Minister’s Special Advisor on LGBTQ2 Issues. He holds a bachelor’s from Harvard College, an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.
