Lambda Legal is pleased to announce it has elected Sandy Mollett and Colin Hosten to serve on its Board of Directors. The appointments bring extensive expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion, nonprofit leadership, and public service to the organization’s governing body.
“We are excited to welcome Ms. Mollett and Mr. Hosten onto Lambda Legal’s board,” said Lambda Legal CEO Kevin Jennings. “Their combined expertise in DEI, nonprofit management, and public service, along with their demonstrated commitment to equity and justice, will be invaluable as we continue our fight for LGBTQ+ rights at this critical time.”
Sandy Mollett is a retired executive, artist, actor, activist and founder of Equal Footing LLC, a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consulting organization. A Certified Diversity Professional, Ms. Mollett has committed her “second act” to educating and advocating for safe, diverse, equitable and inclusive communities and workplaces. She previously served as Chief Engagement and Operating Officer at Inclusivv (formerly Civic Dinners) and Chief Operating Officer at True Diversity. Prior to her DEI consulting work, Ms. Mollett served as Senior Vice President – Head of Operations and Controls for First Data (now Fiserv).
Ms. Mollett brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience to Lambda Legal. Her community service includes serving on the Lambda Legal Atlanta Leadership Council (2025 – present) and the Mayor’s Women of Atlanta Advisory Board (2025). She previously served on the City of Atlanta Mayor’s LGBTQ Advisory Board (2019 – 2023), Georgia Equality Board of Directors (2019 – 2023), Out Front Theatre Board of Directors (2021 – 2023), United Way of Greater Georgia Board of Directors (2020 – 2022), and Discover DeKalb Convention & Visitor’s Bureau Board of Directors (2019 – 2022). She also served as President of the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, now known as the OUT Georgia Business Alliance (2018 – 2019). She will be based out of Atlanta.
Colin Hosten is a nonprofit executive, educator, and dedicated public servant currently serving as Director of Development for the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts in Connecticut and as an At-Large Member of the Norwalk City Council. He previously served as Executive Director of the Leonard-Litz LGBTQ+ Foundation (2021-2025), where he worked with Trustees to review and award grant applications and oversee the Foundation’s financial planning and management. As a former member of Norwalk’s Board of Education (2019-2025), he helped oversee policies and budgets for a school system comprising approximately 12,000 students and 1,600 employees across 21 schools.
Mr. Hosten’s public service includes serving as Chair of the Democratic Town Committee of the City of Norwalk and co-chair of the LGBTQ+ Caucus of the CT Democratic Party since 2023. He is currently co-chair of the LGBTQIA+ Subcommittee of the CT Comptroller’s Healthcare Cabinet. His community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of Triangle Community Center (2017 – present), Bridgeport Pride Center (2024 – present), Equality Connecticut (2023 – present), and the Congressional Award Foundation (2023 – present).
In addition to his nonprofit and public service work, Mr. Hosten is a Lecturer at Fairfield University, where he has taught since 2014 and received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2020. He will be based out of Norwalk, Connecticut.
