Our Safe Space Commitment
We’re excited to have you join us at our upcoming events! At Lambda Legal, we’re committed to creating an inclusive, safe, and welcoming experience for everyone. Harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated. We ask that all participants help us maintain this space by doing the following:
- Help create a respectful and welcoming environment where all are free from discrimination or harassment
- Respect names, pronouns, and identities
- Refrain from discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior, including:
- Discrimination or harassment related to actual and perceived race, ethnicity, sex, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disabilities, neurodiversity, physical appearance, body size, HIV status, family status, veteran status, nationality, citizenship, age, religion, or other protected categories;
- Sexually explicit images or comments, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention or advances;
- Microaggressions or derogatory language based on a person’s identity or expression;
- Racist, sexist, homophobic, biphobic, transphobic, ageist, or ableist language and/or conduct
If you believe you are a victim to, or have witnessed, discrimination and/or harassment, please contact Lambda Legal staff immediately. For staff participating in events, please contact the People & Culture team immediately.
Lambda Legal reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from, any Lambda Legal event at any time at its sole discretion. If a participant engages in behavior that violates these Guidelines, Lambda Legal may take action including warning or expelling the offender from the event and/or future activities.
