Houston Comets all-star player, Sheryl Swoopes, will speak at Lambda Legal’s 5th Annual Women’s Brunch, hosted by Dallas Attorney Lisa Blue at her Preston Hollow home.
“We are honored that Ms. Swoopes has agreed to join Lambda Legal in celebrating the many contributions lesbians have made to our community here in Dallas,” said Dennis Coleman, Regional Director of Lambda Legal’s South Central Regional Office in Dallas. “As one of the most prominent openly gay people in professional sports, Ms. Swoopes is a trailblazer and a visible role model for young lesbians. She embodies the kind of leadership that Lambda Legal is honoring at our Fifth Annual Women’s Brunch, graciously hosted this year by another role model, Lisa Blue.”
- Sheryl Swoopes: Three-time Olympic gold medalist, WNBA all-star player, mother, partner and openly gay professional basketball player will be available to the press for interviews.
- Lisa Blue: Trial attorney and psychologist at Dallas-based law firm Baron & Budd, Lisa Blue is hosting the event at the Baron House, where she resides with her husband, Fred Baron.
